What is most upsetting is that the talking heads have totally ignored what Woodward should have done.

They are either STUPID, or just getting paid to tow a certain line.

WOODWARD HAD A RESPONSIBILITY TO FLAG THIS!

To some extent, it's an occupational hazard for a reporter, and while it's true that Woodward was writing a book and not an item for a newspaper, writing for a newspaper was where he learned his trade. And remember, he's still listed as a 'reporter', employed by the Washington Post.
