Also with the use by police of guns as a solution where there's little or no threat.

They often seem to use excessive force when they think their authority is challenged. So maybe they need to rethink their sense that authority means compulsion and not the combination of listening and persuasion.

Obviously, we have problems with the way police deal with mental health & race issues.

A Police Officer Shot a 13-Year-Old With Autism in Salt Lake City
The authorities said the officer shot the boy while responding to a call about a “violent psych issue.” The teenager, Linden Cameron, was fleeing and did not have a weapon, his mother said.
