Trump clearly knows. It's the generals who made clear to the reporter that Trump despises the military. He hasn't got a single one to support him. And now they have revealed Mnuchin as a liar too. This is why Trump is trashing them.

Not the report in the Atlantic.

He just goes out and insults the military from his podium. So now we have the complete set.

Hates the generals.

Hates the suckers who go to war.

Hates the losers who are killed or captured.

I think the truth is, he is contemptuous not only of the military, but of pretty much everyone.

Contempt is his natural setting. It isn't a partisan thing. It's universal.

There's one class of people he is especially contemptuous of. The rubes who believe him. His customers. His marks. The people he takes money from.
