But I'm disappointed that today is a holiday. A holiday from what? Every day is a holiday. I'd completely forgotten that today is supposedly "special."
-------

You are now officially a bum. No matter how hard you try, you will never be the perfect bum I am.
------

What Labor Day means to me is that work at Property #2 will not occur.

You really don't know that, being in the NH climate. Don't forget these guys have 6 months or so to do a lot of work. Then they go to FL for the other 6 months. Smile))

--------

"......rebar........" Oh, how I was trying to block that word from my vocabulary.
----------

I know these things don't sound like a big deal
-------

YES, they do. I went through this with having a house built. I was so excited when the builders removed some trees and put string around where the house was going to go. I literally jumped up and down. I am WITH YA on this, De.
-------------

The house is now hooked up to its well, has its septic tank, either has or is about to get its electricity, and is close to getting the last of its concrete poured.

-------

Okay, so when you go tomorrY, bring your canteen, empty your bladder, turn the lights off and on all morning AND bury all the dead bodies before they pour the last of the concrete. Your secret is safe with us. Smile))

-------------

So how did ya make out watching the Labor Day telethon? Jerry still looking good? One year he looked HUGE. He had been on prednisone for some ailment.

omg, DE, he's dead. Maybe you watched some kind of sport, yanno like with the rich, spoiled athletes who were lucky enough to dunk a ball, hit a ball or muck a puck........welp, if they weren't causing all kinds of flack with their little temper tantrums, they would be joining antifa and scaring the elderly half to death.

So now that you're retired, I guess we are eliminating all holidays henceforth?

-----

I'll try and keep up so I know how things are progressing!

Re: "Have a loverly day, gentlemen! Very Happy"
Thank you. You too!

But I'm disappointed that today is a holiday. A holiday from what? Every day is a holiday. I'd completely forgotten that today is supposedly "special."

What Labor Day means to me is that work at Property #2 will not occur. That's a drag. I was there Sunday and saw rebar had been laid over the basement floor. The final pour of the basement is obviously about to commence and I was going to drive up this morning to watch. Now I think not. Sad

I also saw that the temporary power panel has been installed on a basement wall. I know these things don't sound like a big deal, but to me they're pretty cool. The house is now hooked up to its well, has its septic tank, either has or is about to get its electricity, and is close to getting the last of its concrete poured. Things are moving fast! I bet we'll be putting in the steel "I" beam that runs the length of the house and laying the main floor (so the basement will be covered) within a month.

But nothing's going to happen on a frickin' HOLIDAY! %@#$. What do I do now? I guess I'll turn on the tube and watch Jerry raise a little money for the kids.
