...we just got a notice that our property taxes were going to go up by about 1/3. Huge crowd of people gathered at the 'hearing' to protest same. Next day the county govt announced they were going to have to lay off firemen. NObody wants to see firemen laid off and the county govt knows it. Can't lay off any of their aunts and uncles and cousins on the county tit. Gotta be firemen. It's an old political game and I have seen it played more than once.
Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!
