good evening! I have stirred off my recliner that doubles as a bed. De, i suspect that all the novacaine injections around the affected area are what has caused the overall pain to be diminished. It's starting to wear off now and when I walked I noticed I had some pain back, but not much. The main shots are like mega doses of anti-inflammatory stuff which is supposed to calm down the inflamed nerve endings coming from the sciatic nerve root.
When those begin to work and calm down those nerves then this will be greatly reduced for a periood of time.
No, this is nothing short of temporary that should last from 3 months to 6 months. Wil have to see how this feels tomorrow and next day when the novacaine is all gone and some of the soreness from all the injections. Some of those injections were quite deep.
I am hoping I can walk again without the hip area being lit up like it was. Will see.
So far its good. But I have been laying down since I was brought back home by my wife.
Anyway, I walked into the office to my computer desk to check mail and stuff. The walk was not bad. It did remind me I have areas still where I feel it but not as bad.
Hope this works well.. My cost was $35.00
2 years ago I did this with another doctor before they would let me have the surgery and the shots did nothing because of the 10 cm long cyst pressing hard into the sciatic nerve causing bleeding of the nerve itself.. The cost was over $3500. each of two times...
Those shots were a waste. Once the surgeon removed the cysts and a little more arthritis I was out of pain.
SO I like the medicare advantage plan.
Huge difference. Hopefully the shots will at least HELP. I have no desire to be a constant user of a nartcotic pain pill. I will take only when and as needed IF needed. If not, well, the pills n the bottle will get old...
I am going to get a hot shower and see if that helps a little more also...
Thanks for asking.. Thanks for prayers.
Thanks for just being a friend..
