And not to forget ... McConnell has prevented election-protecting legislation from being heard in the Senate.
Even if the Dems win, I am not sure how America survives a party that is corrupt and dishonest across the board. One end of the daisy chain of cheating is Fox News and right wing media. The other end is the Bananarepublican Party. In the middle are the fake American churches populated by their conmen pastors.
Their idea of America is more like a combination of Russian tsarism and Iranian fundamentalism with brown shirt bullies in pickup trucks as enforcers of the new order.
To make America great requires it to rediscover its sense of direction. It always leant towards muscular individuallism, but it was also a product of the rule of law, the enlightenment and the scientific revolution. These ideas didn't originate in America, but it adopted them.
I wonder if it is capable of finding the way back. I doubt it. That's why I think the country will be better if it is split into parts. At least some regions of the current US have the sorts of ideas that can work.
The others look doomed. The question is, will they drag the whole country down with them?
I wonder how soon the journalist murders will begin. That comes somewhere around here in Putin's playbook.
