Nothing to criticise in what she says. But you don't need religion for this kind of thinking. Science does it better nowadays.
We are evolved to be altruistic in some measure. It isn't just a random thing. It's efficient. Whereas excessive selfishness and simple egalitarianism are inefficient. The difficulty is working out how to combine the motivation of individuallism with the benefits supplied by common goods.
I understand that normal Republicans think you shouldn't do many altruistic things via government. But that's the right place to do some sorts of useful things. Like responding to a pandemic. If you don't, more people die. You also want the contribution from individual people choosing to want to save themselves, eg by wearing masks and washing their hands.
Bananarepublicanism is so perverse that its adherents won't perform either side of the equation. The Orange Fatty does nothing except play golf. And Bananarepublicans refuse to participate in mask-wearing in spite of its survival benefits. It's a cult for stoopid people, plain and simple.
