Miz kathy ma'am,
Depending upon what part of the body you is talking about you may not need ANY re-hab and maybe a couple of visits to a Physical therapist.
The reason I saythis is because I discovered in the world of surgeons, there is a techniqu called micro surgery.
I LOVE the name... But the surgical incisionis like maybe 1 inch max and the tools are half the size of those used for "minimal invasive" surgery.
With the micro surgery your recoup time is either zero or close to it...
Now, if ya is talking about a knee replacement or a hip replacement that may be a procedure that the micro surgery is not available for..
But for SPINE repairs, it is amazing... BAck surgery with this methodology works wonders and does not do much damage at all.
When Doc repaired my spine a couple of years ago on my left side with that cysts pushingagainst the sciatic nerve root so hard the nerve was bleeding, and a couple hours under on the OR table, I literally walked out of the hospital after my ride to the door and no rehab required. I felt great. Nothing like the minimal invasive surgery I had before and was off work for 12 weeks.
So techniques are geting much improved and less damaging on the body...
Like Nemo, My lower spine area can no longer be surgically operated on which is why I am now working with a Pain Management Doctor..
I alsohave discovered that I either need to take One and a half of those pills or need a stronger doseage of the hydrocodone than the 5-325.
I have extras so I may well cut a tablet in half and try one and a half at next time I can take it and see if that helps. Then I will know... And I can tell Doc when I see him....
