Captain, Was yer night pretty bad even with thaking the 5-325 oxycodone ??? IFFEN yer bone doc cannot help you surgically then you need to get a PAIN Management doc. I just had my first consult with a top 60 in the USA Pain management doctor today. He was extremely cordial, asked lots of questions and was concerned about the condition because mine is not repairable anymore. He precribed exactly what you are on for starters. Twice daily as needed. I had one. It helps a lot.
My next step is to go to the office and he will give me an injection or two into that area that will calm the inflamed nerves down. This is first day in quite awhile (since knee surgery and mega dose of Morphine at hospital after recovery, and then two a day oxycodone pain pills, that I have had relief this good. My little mixtureo f the Aleve with Two arthritis strength Tylenol helps a small bit but does not last long. Once I stand up and start walking its all over from there. I asure hope that Bone Doc will help you Nemo. My condition in inoperable and I have to live with it for remainder of my life here on earth. I don't mind if I can get some help to manage it. As I write this, I am pondering as I am having a flashback from Nam, what or how some of my brothers who had a limb blown off from a mortar round dealt with that kind of devastating injury? I feel like a wimp.... ANyway, good news for me because I got some relief. Good news for you because you are finally seeing a bone specialist who may be able to help you...
Fingers crossed for you buddy... yer pal.
