FC Dallas knows they really stepped in it. Here is a statement that just went up on their website, today ...

FC Dallas supports our players and fans in their right to express themselves in a peaceful manner. The National Anthem was played before last night's match while the players were on the field which Major League Soccer requires when fans are in attendance. While we understand the decision to stand or kneel for the National Anthem is a polarizing issue, we hope that FC Dallas can be a leader in helping our community accept diverse viewpoints in a respectful way as we all work together in the ongoing fight for racial equality.

This statement tells me LOUD AND CLEAR that the FC Dallas club has been inundated with angry calls and e-mails from fans (former fans?) who are upset with the kneeling during the National Anthem and the ignorant comments by Reggie Cannon. Professional soccer does not have a huge fan base in Dallas, so FC Dallas knows they're walking a very shaky high wire, right now. It wouldn't surprise me if they have not already told Reggie Cannon to keep his diseased pie hole shut from now on. We shall see.

Fans were evidently displeased when two Major League Soccer clubs took a knee during the national anthem in Dallas on Wednesday. It also appears that one of the players was quite upset with the fans.

FC Dallas player and U.S. Men's National Team member Reggie Cannon, said that he thought the fans reaction to the players protest was, "disgusting."

"I think it was disgusting. I think it was absolutely disgusting," Cannon said, via Yahoo.

"You got fans booing you for people taking a stand for what they believe in," Cannon continued. "Millions of other people support this cause and we discussed with every other team and the league what we're going to do and we've got fans booing us in our own stadium. How disgraceful is that? Honestly, for lack of a better word, it pissed me off. ... You can't even have support form your own fans in your own stadium. It's baffling to me."

Well, let me explain it to you, Reggie, you ignorant ass-wipe. It's called freedom of speech - AND IT IS A TWO-WAY STREET. You get to express your viewpoint by kneeling during the National Anthem, which the fans find to be absolutely disgusting. So, they then get to express their viewpoint and boo you, which you find disgusting. Everybody gets to express themselves and be equally disgusted with the other side. Ain't freedom grand? I certainly think so!

But, here's the real problem, Reggie, you undemocratic pussy ... you believe your side are the only ones who deserve to exercise the freedom of speech and everyone who disagrees with you should be silenced ... BUT, as per usual, you're wrong. So, you don't like it? Too bad. F@#k off.
