Looks like the first wave may be levelling off.
US is currently tenth worst for deaths as a proportion of the population with 511 per million people. Not the worst performance in those terms. Will probably catch up with the 600/m cluster in the end, where many countries (UK, Spain, Italy) are. That would mean around 200k deaths before the first wave ends.
Should have done a lot better. UK too.
Not looking forward to the second wave, although hopefully we will all do better next time around, now that we have had a chance to prepare.
