Many plants, beans included, come in two varieties: Bush and Vine. Tomatoes are that way too. Some only grow 3 feet high; others have no practical limit.

You'd be well advised to put a small cage around your beans. It will keep them upright.

• For whatever reason, my peas are doing well but my green beans are not. They're both trellis plants so I'm not sure what to think except that maybe the green beans have to be planted earlier.
