Re: “Wondering if some anxiety med might help until my system stabilizes again. Anyone experience something like this?”
I did not.

I am generally against medicine as a quick cure, especially when combined with whatever else you might be taking. There always seem to be side effects.

Emotions are legitimate, and grief definitely hurts. But the old adage that time heals all wounds is at least partly true. Grief doesn't fully heal, but it does become bearable with time. I think you'll find, now that you're over the initial shock, that each day is a little easier than the last.

By any chance, were you wearing a mask either time you passed out? Masks can reduce oxygen intake and make it easier for ANYONE to pass out. Even I've experienced that, especially when wearing one and hurrying to get to an appointment (like the hospital, to which I have to hurry right now for my routine blood draw. See ya!)

I would not ordinarily ask about something like this but there are lots of very bright regulars here I respect their insights, their "seasoned" ages and experiences, and knowledge on various and sundry subjects.

Since my dad passed last week, I am now experiencing overcoming anxiety in a wave that just rolls over me like a big wave and smothers me. I feel like I cannot breathe at times and have fainted twice now. Not for long but I can feel it coming and can do nothing about it. Breathing technique of slow deep breath, and slow release has not helped.

I hate that sensation. Wondering if some anxiety med might help until my system stabilizes again. Anyone experience something like this?

TIA
