‘Pro-Life’ Group Plans 1,300-Person Conference in Virus’ Deadly Path
“Crisis pregnancy” group says conference will be socially distant and safe, but experts say it’s an “extraordinarily bad idea.”

Even Donald Trump knew Florida is too dangerous for a big gathering, having just canceled the GOP convention there. But a major pro-life group is forging ahead with a 1,300-person, three-day conference in the coronavirus-ridden state—and won’t even require masks unless officials force them.
Care Net, one of the country’s largest networks of “crisis pregnancy centers,” plans to hold its annual conference six weeks from now in Florida, which broke its record for single-day COVID-19 deaths this week.
