You see now where Trump is saying the doctors gave him 'extra credit' when he 'aced' his cognitive test...

Trump doesn't understand that the Montreal Cognitive Assessment Test is designed not to be too difficult since if it were, it would not serve the intended purpose. In fact, it was designed to be easy with a very low passing threshold because it's intended to detect the loss of cognitive abilities in people. If the test was hard, too many people would fail and it would be worthless. It was designed so that virtually anyone with NO cognitive issues, will pass the test, period.

I took this same cognitive test before and after my heart surgery three years ago. In my case, it was to make sure that there were no mental impairments as a result of the surgery, from things like blood clots and such. This is normal, particularly when the surgical procedure used for my heart valve replacement was still under evaluation by the FDA, which it was when I had my surgery at Ceders Sinai Hospital in LA, at their cardiac research facility. I also had to take a series of physiological tests to make sure there was no loss of motor skills.
