At 5:00 a.m. this morning my dad drew his last breath here on earth. He died peacefully and in no distress or pain.
His ten year battle with Demntia has come to a conclusion and he has graduated and been promoted to a much better standard of living, has his new body and looks like he did when he was in his thirties. He is re-united with my mother and for that I am very happy.
It was a struggle to say final farewell and follow his body to the waiting transport vehicle where he will be be heading to the University body donor medical center..
The Nursing home staff all lined the hallways at atention and we had a procession out of the building to the back of the ambulance.
Almost all the nurses came and hugged my wife and me and all were teary eyed because they knew him after two years of taking care of him..
They gave me the white Tulip they had placed on his body as he was carried out of the bedroom and onto the gurney.
Amazing gesture of love and kindness. I will not forget.
I miss my dad. It was hard taking that final walk.
I am happy he is no longer old and has no teeth and no memory and feeble. He has a new body and is alive moe so than we are.
