Hope the principled former Republicans can build a new party after the election, so folks can oppose one another about normal things again.

There's a party of science to be had on the right. Clearly, the party of faith doesn't work. But faith can exist within a structure that doesn't abandon evidential disciplines.

So get back on side with climate science and evolution, and so on. But by all means believe in a benign God and the wisdom of the sermon on the mount.
