Not trying to be deliberately awkward, but actually, I think the first question is hard.
I'm sitting there wondering if there's enough information to justify the answer they obviously want. Why should I presume alphabetical order just because the first letter is A? The next vowel is an E. End.
Zero points!
Why should I assume the next answer in a number series isn't the next prime or the next double? 1-2-3-5 or 1-2-4.
Zero points!
The question doesn't say you should use every number and letter available. Indeed, there is no question there.
For noticing you get... zero points!
Underlying assumptions in the questioner's mind are embedded in the test. That's bad question-setting technique.
So I think the question setter failed the test. Unless the correct answer is there is no single correct answer.
