Dad did not cross over yesterday into heaven. He is pretty much comotose laying on his side, with a death rattle that sometimes gets loud and then the nurse suctions fluid out.

He is given adavan and morphine regularly orally thruh a dropper ito his mouth.

He moans a lot. I know he can hear me because when I talk to him close to his ear he moves his arm and moans as if trying to respond.

He cannot open his eyes and his organs are shutting down. His heart is already badly damaged and has been for years now which is why he has a pacemaker that no longer keeps his heart rate at 60 beats per minute. The batteries likely have run out of juice. His heart does not pump strong enough for good circulation of blood or oxygen.

The Hospice nurse, who is a Christian, said she believes that today may be his last day.

The HOME will only allow TWO family members at a time to be in his room.

I guess they are worried that we might give covid to someone who will be dead in a day or two...

I have my moments in all this. I am the head of this family now. They all look to me and the pressure gets to you when reality sets in that I won't see dad here on earth anymore and my mother left here five years ago. I know he is lost without her and will see her again and for that small blessing it takes my heart off the grief of losing my dad.

So I am preparing to leave the house and go over to the home shortly. It is 8:45 a.m. now here. Same for Ribs and De. Eastern time zone.

I need to be prepared to be of comfort to the other younger family members and use this as an opportunity to assure them that Heaven is for real and that the apostle Paul wrote for our benefit that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord..

I sometimes wonder why death of a loved one brings sorrow to us knowing that it is a graduation and promotion for them to be in the Place that Jesus said He goes to prepare a place for us, that where HE is, there we may be also..? We should be happy for them that they have left behind this worn out body that causes pain and suffering. They will receive a new, eternal body that will never corrupt or wear out..

Thank you guys for your thoughtful and kind words of encouragement.

I am hoping that today is the day that our Lord and God takes dad home to spend eternity there and I will see him and mom again when my appointed time comes.

Signing off for the remainder of the day my friends.

The Lord bless you all and keep you in Hs peace and grace is my prayer for every one of you.

Your friend,

micro...
