BREAKING: Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg treated for recurrence of liver cancer, says chemotherapy has yielded 'positive results'
Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg announced Friday that she is being treated for a recurrence of liver cancer, and that chemotherapy has so far yielded “positive results.”
Ginsburg, 87, was hospitalized earlier this week with a possible infection and released Wednesday. She said she will continue her work on the Supreme Court. “I have often said I would remain a member of the Court as long as I can do the job full steam. I remain fully able to do that," she said in a statement.
