US turned out to have much the same number of new cases, as expected, although this turned out to be a record high of 73,388 (vs 71,750 yesterday).

FL looks poorly, as already mentioned.

CA was higher than expected. For me, LA figures are totally unpredictable. I suspect a reporting issue, with some counties missing daily deadlines. Otherwise, the numbers looked encouraging to me. No sign of overall increase.

TX was lower than expected. Good news. Suggests possible plateau effect.

The Deep South is building a formidable, but gradual curve. Louisiana seems to be having a proper second wave.

Otherwise, nothing stands out particularly. Broad-based growth which produces around 1k deaths every day at the moment.

It's going much higher than that!!!

My guess is the US total today will be much the same as yesterday. Tomorrow is the bad one.
