Huh. I thought it had been. Certainly has plenty of Islamic stuff in it, and the iconoclasts damaged it. So it has less of a Byzantine feel to it than it might.

Not sure quite what to think yet. Assuming they won't damage the surviving mosaics. Or do Isis things.

They let folks in the Blue Mosque opposite. So it's just making use of a space, I suppose.
