one who gave a damn, the country would have been on the verge of having defeated the virus right now.
And that president would have received praise for his efforts.
And in an election year, he'd have rode the tide of goodwill and a recovering economy to victory.
But because Trump is president, he skipped the bit where you work to defeat the virus. And so, in an act of knuckle-dragging stupidity, he is opening the economy during the pandemic in hopes he will reap benefits he hasn't earned. Instead, the virus is running rampant and the economy is toast.
