Hadn’t been there since last October. Everyone on mask duty. Stores, cabs, etc., had signs “no mask, no service”. Business flowed. That’s how intelligent people, Americans, deal with shit. One highway sign said “NY TOUGH”. Yeah, baby.
Went to Astoria, picked up some greek stuff, lots of it, came home, martinis with fresh cherries, some foie gras from last year’s Montreal trip, shishito peppers, what else can anyone enjoy more in the time of covid?
It was good to feel that NYC energy again, the finest city in the world!
