You know, when they left NVAX off the first list of five to receive OWS funding, I figured the USG might not have seen them as a funding priority, since CEPI already provided $348M. This news today was a shocker. The largest OWS funds to date. There was no anticipation of something like this. It has to bode very well for the Matrix-M adjuvant news expected from India, and the Phase 1 vaccine results.
$1.6B in funding from OWS announced this morning. Huge news before Phase 1 results. USG must have been provided preliminary data for this kind of commitment. Wow, just wow!
