I can remember when an executive at Hobby Lobby, which is one the companies arguing that they have to right to deny contraceptive care to their female employees, whether they actually have to pay for it or not, was asked if it would be OK for their employee's health insurance plan to cover a vasectomy for their male employees, he said yes, that wouldn't be an issue. When asked how could they square this with their policy toward denying coverage for contraceptives for their female employees, the response was that in their faith, it was the man who determines whether a couple will have children or not. So the follow-up question of course was that if there was a male contraceptive, would they cover that, he said yes. Had he could see no conflict in this position since his position was based on his religious beliefs so he didn't need to explain the obvious contradictions.

The religious employer has an isdue, but how about the employee denied of part of their employment benefits under a Federal program funded by taxpayers?

Don’t we have laws on DISCRIMINATION?

Check.

Doesn’t the Constitution preclude religion anything from GOVERNMENT? Separation of church and state?

Check.

So, why is the religious entity providing health insurance under a federal program DENYING CERTAIN COVERAGE TO A WOMAN?
