But Brazil pipped Trump in the autocrat contest yet again. Brazil had less than a hundred more new cases. But a win's a win.

Horrifying that I have reached the sarcasm stage with this pandemic. But how else is one meant to respond to the ridiculous response of the US president?

Political choices do actually. Engaging in sophistry to pretend he is of sound mind has a price. Countries whose leaders have tried have had a tough time, but the pandemic ends up under control. Trump just gave up when it turned out his tv appearances were a disaster.

Trump sets US pandemic record. 47k cases in one day. Horrendous in Florida. But it is spreading nearly everywhere, with just a few exceptions. At least now they have had time to prepare the PPE they need.
