A doctor said they have learned how to treat these cases better.

I think having patients lay on their stomachs has helped, taking pressure off of their lungs.

Most doctors say they still need to learn a lot more about this virus.

Little noticed factoid.

Covid 19 in June is about a quarter as deadly as in April. Globally, that is. Assuming the statistics are reliable.

Put another way, the number of infections has doubled, while the death count has halved.

Is this because the strains of the virus that spread better don't kill the carrier?

Or that this virus weakens in the summer, like the flu?

Or that hospitals are learning how to treat it better?

Wish we had hindsight knowledge, when all of these questions will have answers.
