Its last time it can be scoped and sutchered . A new knee is in my future likely. Oh well. Just want to get out of pain now. Can't hardly walk on it and need crutches to walk. That puts a crimp on things.

Yeah, chest-cracking is a serious thing. But knee surgery is notoriously painful, and I wouldn't be surprised if what you've got coming up hurts more than what I went through. (What hurt in my case was sleeping with weight on either shoulder, and a sense when I was upright that my organs were loose and might fall out of my abdomen. The pain, though, wasn't that bad. (The kidney stone in early December was more painful.) After the first 48 hours, ordinary tylenol and lidocaine patches were my only pain meds, and when I went home after 5 days I only used tylenol.)
