While true, I don;t think Stonewall would reconsider what he told General Lee.

He told his wife who was by his side as he lay dying from Pneumonia that he was not worried or fearful about leaving this life and going on to be the Lord. He was more worried about HER...

I can understand that perspective of his.

He actually believed what He claimed to because of his belief in the Bible, and His God. He was real..

I get that.

Re: "Stonewall Jackson famously said that the reason he was always leading his men with bullets whizzing thru his coat and all around him was because he was at perfect peace and knew that he had an appointed time to die as do all men. Until that time that is by GOD's will there is no reason to worry over anything...."
Good ol' Stonewall probably had second thoughts on that after he got shot in the ARM and hung around for a while before succumbing to infection (pneumonia) at age 39. Eight days of suffering gave him plenty of time to reconsider the wisdom of his bravado.

No man can extend his time on Earth beyond what God intends, but any fool can shorten it.
