I remember when Joe Biden said how unfortunate that the Italians were beset by the virus and had an inferior healthcare system. Obviously he had no idea that they have one of the best, most inclusive ones in the world. I guess it is showing now, as they treat everyone, including poor Italians, and their numbers are under control.
Ominous increases for Latin America and India, with more new cases in Brazil even than in the US. And really scary the speed at which India is picking up.
Worrying lack of decline from high numbers for the US and Russia.
US has been seeing around 20k deaths per day for 3 weeks now, and they are spread more evenly around the different states than when NY and NJ dominated. At least the death rate has slightly reduced, perhaps due to the use of remdesivir. But 1,223 deaths is still a bunch.
