...conservatives by their very nature are not "joiners or followers". When the trouble comes they will do what has to be done though.

The problem with that is that a militia requires recruitment, and people are so widely dispersed out here that communication is difficult. Cities have an advantage: Nearly everyone is liberal and they can be recruited from any street corner. But city liberals as a whole are also cowardly and unarmed... not exactly primo militia men unless you'll accept gang bangers.
