With a peaceful exit, sensible states can avoid a future of more of whatever this is called. A Bananarepublican federal government which simply doesn't care and that is seeking to extort compliance with its objectives using the pandemic as leverage. Armed militia seeking to intimidate an elected state government. A president rubbishing sensible law enforcement against a traitor.
Trumputin's America is so broken. There's no possibility of compromise with the party of Trump and the country he is creating. There's only isolation from it. Become like Canada. Get a frontier. Live a new dream.
And let the happy Trump supporters live theirs under a corrupt sociopath with armed thugs dictating policy and without the benefits of the rule of law.
