Re: “I also heard that the count is up to 23, the number of people whom they think may have contracted the virus while they were standing in line to vote in primary earlier this month. This number includes both voters and poll workers.”

Some of us have been around long enough to remember when oldCADuser used to whine about paper ballots. Does the phrase "hanging chad" ring a bell with any of you? Well, OCU was one of those guys. Their protests, you'll remember, led to the push for electronic voting and all the problems IT caused in those places so foolish as to try it. Now, OCU is pushing for mandatory mail-in voting. That, I'll just note, would be accomplished with... drumroll, please... PAPER!!! LOL. So we've come full circle on the issue, with OCU swinging all the way from demanding we get rid of paper ballots to demanding that we have them. He'll never acknowledge it, though.

I'll also point out that paper is every bit as capable of transporting coronavirus both in- and out of an envelope as is an in-person visit by a voter to his precinct. So this is another of OCU's bright ideas that he hasn't quite thought through.

Meanwhile, clo and OCU just keep on asking why things are done the way they are . . . on a board where they've kicked off everyone who could possibly answer their questions. You can't make this up, gang. The Pffarters are just too ridiculous.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months
