Twas damn cold here yesterday. But holding onto t-shirt and shorts for the moment. Plenty of timber in these parts. Wet and windy winter saw numerous trees on the ground and blocking the streams and rivers. Folks round here are still clearing them and fixing fences and gates that were smashed. But the wildflowers abound in the long meadows, so it's a wash.

Yesterday morning we had high winds, lots of rain.
A huge limb from one of my oak trees broke & landed on the walkway in front of the front door, trapped.
Luckily no broken windows, my son used a chainsaw & freed us ;)

It made a strange day, stranger. The power came back at 5:30, for 30 minutes & went off again for 30 minutes, finally returning.

I'm grateful it wasn't colder, we would have had a blizzard & the day would have been more uncomfortable.
