The Fed was on the path of raising interest rates
& trying to normalise their balance sheet.....the
stock market crashed in late 2018 ruining Trump's
chances of being reelected.

Trump intervened & the Fed went back to easing...the market then put in a new high.

Trump will win 2020.................he has Trillions
to hand out.

I think the Fed should do what is right for the economy, in disregard of the election. That's what I think they are doing. They are keeping what they can afloat, so that the economy can revive itself later. Hopefully.

You are right that Trump will benefit. Sometimes the right thing coincides with what Trump wants. Sometimes it doesn't.

I agree that Trump is moving the levers he controls to benefit himself regardless of the harm to others. That's why he wants to restart the economy before the pandemic is under control. If he does it, I think he will lose the election. His path is to play the heroic vanquisher of the virus. But he's too dim and lazy to see that he would win the election that way.

As regards my blessing, I get to run my keyboard, and for the little it is worth, he does not have my blessing. But it would be as evil of me to wish destruction on the US for electoral purposes as it is of him to expose people to harm for his own ends.
