This is why it's worth following a process and not adopting magic thinking.

On its own, this shows the president is too ignorant to fulfill the role he has been given.

Of course, his fans will blame the study or simply move along to the next crazy idea, without admitting anything, or learning that the orange emperor has no clothes.

That's why conversation with bananarepublicans isn't productive. The nothingburger factory produces nothingburgers over and over. They aren't fit for consumption. Except by those who lack taste-buds. But the bananarepublicans swear by them.

The fact that their thinking does so much harm never occurs to them. In their righteous indignation and inability to assess ignorance in operation, they doubtless think they are moral actors on life's stage.

But unless you understand the value of the process, you ain't going to say wise things and you will probably do harmful ones. If you follow the ideas of a serial conman, that is.

So the people who wrote the paper concealed the negative data!!! This is why presidents shouldn't play doctor on tv.

"The publisher of the French study that found hydroxychloroquine could help treat coronavirus patients is now saying the paper 'did not meet its standards.'

President Donald Trump has hailed the research in tweets and during his daily press conferences as a 'game changer.'

But in a statement published online, the International Society of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (ISAC) addressed several new concerns with the research.

Officials say they found out the researchers excluded data on patients who didn't respond well to the treatment and that they did not clarify what they meant when they said patients were 'virologically cured.' ...

Three of the six ended up in the intensive care unit, a fourth patient died, one stopped treatment after experiencing nausea and the last ended up not having the virus."
