I am afraid we all know how the right wing works. The folks at the top announce the latest "thought". This is transmitted via the technology called television to the couches of America. The footsoldiers who watch these right wing shows swallow the nonsense whole and believe themselves to have done thinking when they say what they just watched.
It's just there's also something called reality and the rest of us live in it. The virus will use Americans as fuel if they congregate. The death rate from infection is on average 1 or 2% (higher or lower depending on age) where hospital beds are available. Preventing contagion via isolation slows the spread and avoids the mortality multiplier resulting from hospitals being overwhelmed. It's real simple.
