Assumptions could be wrong. The medication is reported to be safe.
If the medication works the rate of spread may slow dramatically.
Why would anyone not promote the use of the medication given the potential benefit versus the nominal risks involved?
Also, after an admittedly cursory review of the author of that article, I’m not sure of his objectivity.
