We now have different models.......at the time there
was only China.

There is Italy at 8%,China at 4% & Germany at 0.2%.......

The Spanish Flu had a monthly death rate of 1 to 2 million
on average over a 24 month period.

TB has a yearly consistent rate of 120,000 per month.

So far C is at 5,000 deaths per month.

It's not obvious due to vast differences 8% to 0.2%
what model it will follow. Also these death rates are from
those tested,so the real rate is much much lower.

He was about the last person on the planet to figure out the scary capability of this virus. It grows very fast.

When doma was saying how this virus doesn't compare to TB, he quoted 4,000 deaths per day for TB, and if memory serves, at that point there were around 400 deaths per day for coronavirus.

A week or so later, and coronavirus is killing nearly 1,000 per day. It doesn't take a genius to see that a virus which metastasises at this rate will be killing over 10,000 per day in three weeks or so.

We need to work hard to stop it spreading. Or hospitals everywhere will be overwhelmed like those in Italy, which contributed another 427 deaths today.
