Or put another way, having identified 300 cases, the US is probably missing at least 1,600 others.

Why? Because it hasn't got enough testkits, and the ones made by the CDC are defective.

I suspect the US epidemic is going to be the one in the western world that gets out-of-hand. The response has all of the hallmarks of incompetence. Which is what you get with Trump.

The UK is testing. We have 209 cases and 2 deaths.

Extrapolating a 1% death rate to the US, with 19 deaths, means the US likely has around 1,900 cases.

Serious underreporting because it isn't testing for the disease properly. Banana Republicanism on the loose.
