Not saying this to induce panic but to spread the news about what this thing is.
It doesn't do anyone's survival hopes any good not to know what they are dealing with.
Or to elevate the general economy over one's family, as Trump is doing without any credibility.
The good news is that the risks remain low for people under 40 (99.8% recovery rate). And 40-50 is no more than 4 times as risky as flu. So for those people, it's not too alarming. If only Trump would say that.
For me, the stats say I have a 1/12th chance of dying if I get it. So it is a little bit concerning. I am glad the UK government seems to be taking it seriously and is letting the medics run the show.
If I disappear, you know what happened!
