This is an anecdotal story shared with me by a friend of mine who's a former Army intelligence officer, now retired and living in the Washington, DC area. Note that this was not about him but rather a close friend of his:

A person I know who is medically qualified, was asked by Federal officials if they were interested in being a temporary health screener at a local airport.

Before they would agree, they asked a few questions. . . since screeners will wear scrubs, masks, googles and two pair of gloves, where will screener change from their street attire?

No plan. . . .they were told, probably in the airport rest rooms. Unacceptable.

Then they asked, where will they change out of the potentially contaminated gear back into their street clothes and how will the used items be disposed of?

Again, they were told that they would probably have to change in one of the airport rest rooms, but there appeared to be no plan or even any consideration as to what to do with the potentially contaminated gear. Even more unacceptable.

The person said that unless these matters were resolved to their satisfaction, the answer was NO.

If this is any indication as to how our leaders are going about preparing for this potential medical crisis, we're in a heap of trouble.
