Trump is now referring to the coronavirus as a 'hoax', claims that there are ONLY 15 cases in the US and they're getting better, and that his 'wall' is helping to protect Americans from the virus...
And he also mentioned tonight that as part of his response to the threat of a coronavirus pandemic, he was going to ask for a NEW round of tax cuts, as if cutting taxes would somehow help 'inoculate' the population against contracting the virus. And you know damn well that in order to get the effect that he's really looking for, propping-up the crashing stock market, those tax cuts will have to focus on large corporations and the investment class. The average family who risks not only their physical but their financial health if one or more members of their household comes down with the virus and their inadequate insurance coverage, or lack thereof, results in them going broke, they won't see a nickel of those tax cuts. Besides, how is cutting tax revenues going to help fund the extra costs of fighting this pandemic in the first place?
