I suspect that there are many Republicans who are willing to let Trump slide on this because they fear that if they removed him from office, that there would be blood in the streets and they don't want to feel that they were responsible for that. So they're willing to let the voters decide, hoping that he's not reelected in November. However, I think that's a short-sighted position to take because I honestly think that if Trump loses the election, that he will say that it was rigged and he will call for his base to take to the streets in defense of him as he refuses to concede the election, daring the 'deep state' to remove him from office.
