Funny thing about GWB, I didn't think he cared if he got the job. While chads were being counted, Gore was on top of things while GWB cut down stuff in Texas.

He surrounded himself with established people, even though he went against his dad's suggestions to avoid several. Rumsfeld was one, I think Cheney might have been another.

I was opposed to the Iraq invasion, understood his logic to go to Afghanistan, though I thought Saudi Arabia was the problem. And they still are.

I was opposed to torture.

I agree, once he was out of the grip of Cheney he was a better president.
I never questioned his patriotism, even when I didn't agree with his policies.

He was a champion for helping people fighting HIV/AIDS!
and will have a place in history for saving millions!

Obama was a mediocre president on foreign affairs.

He was a terrific campaigner, a lousy politician.

He didn't even like spending time with democrats, and did nothing to work with republicans, except to send Joe to congress when needed. (I can't blame him with what he had to work with) but it didn't help the country.

I was able to sleep at night with him at the helm. He never embarrassed the country & was able to work well with all of our allies.
No scandals, no arrests of people around him.

Trump is amoral, with corruption in his marrow, and a bully. A bully with all of the power in the world to utilize against his enemies.
He is sooooooooooo dangerous!

Now there's a man in want of a mirror.

He ALWAYS projects.

Whenever he looks at other people, he sees himself.

As it happens, I didn't personally dislike Dubya. He had a charming side and a spoiled side. The charming side was fun. I never saw him as more dishonest than Dems, nor as unpatriotic.

Nor did I mistake the bundle of thoughts about who he was for thinking whether he was up to the job, policywise. I think he got better in the last two years when nearly everyone had abandoned him. But 6 years of mistakes under Cheney's influence were too great to recover from.

And, policywise, I'm in a small category of folks who supported his Afghan War, opposed his Iraq War, opposed his torture, but supported his surge. I'd take all the same positions again now as I took then.

Trump is uniquely awful. His crooked character makes him unsuited to the job.
