There are countries most people will get, but Ukraine isn't one of them. I revised the -stans after my post yesterday and still can't place them in my memory. Also struggle with Indo-China and South America.
I think it gets harder the less coastline there is. When I think of Ukraine, I think of the Crimean bit in the Black Sea and know it is above that. I could only guess where its borders are on the landward side of the country.
