OMG

They are saying the death rate for the Wuhan flu is 2-3%. At that rate, if it circles the world, exposing everyone, we're looking at 200m deaths.

I hope they are undercounting the number of infections, and hence the death rate.

If not, this is going to be a catastrophe unless it can be contained within Wuhan. But can it be?

Hard to stop a plague. I seem to remember Trump decided to shut down the CDC's involvement in these sorts of situations. Let the foreigners die. Unfortunately, viruses travel by rail, plane, ship and bus. A well as in cars and on foot. They also get carried by birds and in the tissue of pigs.

If the death rate from this flu is 17 from more than 400, then it is under 4%. But anything above 0.0001% (one in a million) is scary.
