He had a choice. He did wish to quit unless he was able to do things on his own terms. He prioritised independence and money-making over duty to Queen and country.
That's okay. He wasn't cut out for the job. He couldn't submit his own wishes to the interests of his family and their constitutional role - something bigger than him. He was unhappy. But he's become so woke he must need to take sleeping pills at bedtime.
I hope they have a happy life. But I am glad they are gone.
